Hillcroft Farms Poll Dorset Flock has reached a stable and mature stage in its' develpoment and structural areas, where large numbers of our flock of over 2000 ewes are at the very top of all terminal sire indicies.  As a result, we are able to now offer our commercial clients a custom breeding option for purchasing their Poll Dorset Ram replacements each year.  The service is offered so that clients who want a large number of the highest performing animals with guaranteed delivery each year can obtain their rams with certainty at an agreed competitive price.  With the high cost of grain finishing of lambs today, high early growth rates are a very important contributor to a viable prime lamb operation.  We can offer growth rates at the high end of all terminal sires and yet keep birth weights below industry averages and still maintain very good muscling of above industry standards.  A minimum number of 25 rams per order is required with free delivery to anywhere in Australia and our usual backup guarantee of structural and functional soundness and replacement if death occurs in the 3 month period following delivery.  Special EBVs for growth, fat, muscle, birthweight or any combination fo all of these EBVs are available for all clients to suit their particular breeding requirements.
